Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

Hi, I’m Aurelija Akelaitis (yes, it’s a bit of a tongue twister! 😄). I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and the founder of Let It Go Weight Loss.

If you’ve ever thought, “I know what to do. I just can’t seem to do it,” I completely understand. Weight loss isn’t just about food or fitness. It’s about how we think, how we feel, and how we respond when life throws us curveballs.

Like many of my clients, I’ve had to rebuild my relationship with food, body image, and self-trust more than once. I’ve experienced significant weight loss twice - once in my thirties, and again years later after entering perimenopause. Each journey taught me that true transformation doesn’t begin with a diet plan; it begins with the mindset and emotional support that keep you going when things get tough.

That personal insight, paired with my clinical training, has shaped how I work with clients today. Together, we explore the emotional patterns, stress responses, and self-talk that quietly influence your health decisions, so you can stop starting over and finally build lasting change.

You’ll notice a transformation photo on this page, not as a “before and after,” but as a visual reminder of what’s possible when you align your mind, body, and emotions. It’s not about perfection; it’s about progress with compassion.

My approach is grounded in building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, collaboration, and open communication. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you feel empowered to work toward meaningful, sustainable change. Together, we’ll design a personalized treatment plan and set achievable goals tailored to your unique health journey.

If you’re ready to create peace with food, your body, and yourself, I’d love to help you discover the mindset that makes it possible.

Let’s make this the last time you have to start over.

Theses photos aren’t about “before and after.” It’s about the space in between - the learning, the unlearning, and most importantly, the letting go. Twice, I’ve found my way back to health by focusing not only on what I eat, but on what I think and feel. If you’re in that space right now, know this: you can get there too, one kind thought at a time.
